T-11 Parachute – 75th Ranger Regiment

I was hired out by a production company and Brian Stansfield to provide Letus / Sony EX1 camera work for PEO Soldier. Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier was created by the Army with one primary purpose: to develop the best equipment and field it as quickly as possible so that our Soldiers remain second to none in missions that span the full spectrum of military operations.

On this day, we were shooting the 75th Ranger Regiment doing a mass jump with the army’s new T-11 parachute. We needed to film the troops preparing their gear, boarding and jumping from the C-130, as well as provide views from the ground, and interviews of the troops after the jumps. Additionally we used a some GoPro wide angle waterproof/shockproof cameras. One mounted on a jumper, and one hand held. Next time, we will use a ContourHD camera for HD footage, rather than just the SD quality that the GoPro’s provide.

All editing by Brian Stansfield. See his website here. See his Vimeo site here.
