About

Born and raised in Connecticut, I received my college education at Emerson College, majoring in television production, then finishing up at the North Carolina School of the Arts, majoring in lighting and sound design for the theatre.

I have enjoyed taking pictures and making movies since I was ten years old. While in college, I was the sound recording technician for the Winston Salem Symphony. During my college Summers, I was the chief lighting technician for the Lake George Opera Festival in New York State and the Florida Shakespeare Festival in Miami. After college, I shot wedding videos for several years. I was then an AutoCAD draftsman for an architect and a few years later, for a ground water consulting firm.

Today, I live and work in the Atlanta, Georgia area. I document fire scenes for Georgia and the surrounding four states, providing my video and photography expertise to the fire investigation industry. I first utilized a Sony HVR-A1U for my work, and one day, viewed one of Philip Bloom’s short films. I was truly inspired by the imagery he produced. I researched his equipment, asked a bunch of questions, and soon found myself with a Sony EX1/ Letus kit. I now use the EX1 without the Letus for all my fire investigation work, and the EX1/ Letus together for other creative work.

In addition to my fire documentation work, I provide services to private contractors and the military. Filming their military exercises for promotional purposes, and for target acquisition footage.

What do I do for fun? Martial arts! I have been studying in three separate systems; American Karate for almost 3 years, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for almost 2 years, and Judo (just started).
